Employer Job Posting Checklist: A Safer Way to Hire Across Borders

October 17, 2026

Colleagues reviewing a job posting checklist on a laptop in an office.

Publishing a useful job listing starts before you open a form. Candidates need to understand who is hiring, what the work involves, where they may work, how much the role pays where disclosure is possible or required, and when applications close. This practical guide helps KOSMORIO employers prepare accurate information before submitting a vacancy for review.

Quick route: Read the Employer Center, prepare a job submission, or check our listing standards. Publishing a job does not by itself establish that an employer’s identity or ownership is independently verified.

1. Collect these details before posting

  • Genuine employer identity: your correct organization name, an official contact route, and proof you are authorized to post for it if requested.
  • Searchable job title: choose an accurate, familiar title, without misleading seniority or promises.
  • Real work arrangement: identify the country, city, on-site/hybrid/remote requirement and working hours or time zone when relevant.
  • Remote hiring eligibility: specify which countries and work-authorisation categories your employer actually accepts. “Remote” does not automatically mean “worldwide.”
  • Responsibilities: describe everyday tasks and expected outcomes, not just a long list of buzzwords.
  • Required versus preferred qualifications: distinguish genuinely essential certificates, skills or licences from things a candidate could learn.
  • Compensation and benefits: use a genuine amount, currency and pay period when available, and meet any local pay-disclosure rules that apply.
  • Application method and deadline: link to the original secure employer application form or a properly managed recruitment email. State the actual closing date.

2. Make the listing easy to read on a phone

Start with the role, location, schedule and major requirements. Use short paragraphs and clear headings: Role summary, What you will do, Required skills, Preferred skills, Pay and benefits, and How to apply. Avoid unexplained abbreviations or claims such as “guaranteed employment.”

For an international job, write “Remote — applicants based in [eligible countries]” only when those countries are genuinely approved by the employer. If relocation or visa sponsorship is possible, state the real conditions instead of implying sponsorship for everyone.

3. Keep applications safe and private

Ask only for information needed to assess a candidate for the vacancy. Do not publish applicant CVs, addresses, private photographs, identity numbers or contact details in a public job listing. Avoid requesting payments or unnecessary identity documents from applicants. Access to any applicant data must remain restricted to authorized recruitment staff, and retention periods should reflect applicable law and legitimate business needs.

Publishing a job on KOSMORIO does not grant access to a visitor’s private Career Studio profile. A candidate chooses when and where to send an application. Read the Privacy Policy and listing guidelines before collecting or handling personal data.

4. Follow the existing KOSMORIO submission path

  1. Open the Employer Center to understand the process and use your own account.
  2. Choose Post a Job, complete the native submission form and review the information you enter.
  3. Use the preview or draft options provided by the current form where available, then submit for the platform’s review process.
  4. Return to Manage My Jobs to review your own listing and make authorized updates.
  5. When hiring ends, mark the vacancy filled or close it promptly and correct any changed deadline or application route.

Current platform limits: posting and publication remain subject to moderation, account permissions and quality checks. Submitting does not guarantee publication, applicants, leads, employer verification or featured placement. Online advertising checkout is not active.

5. Separate job quality, employer verification and paid promotion

A clear listing, an independently reviewed employer identity, and sponsored visibility are different things. A sponsor label must be visible whenever a paid placement is approved. KOSMORIO is preparing service-led promotion options for suitable businesses, but a paid request must not bypass quality and trust checks.

For future promotional enquiries, use Advertise with KOSMORIO. Requests are reviewed manually; no automatic checkout or promoted-job activation should be assumed.

6. Final employer self-check

  • Can an applicant identify the actual employer and original application destination?
  • Are country eligibility, visa/relocation conditions, location and remote arrangements stated accurately?
  • Are the required skills really necessary, and is compensation expressed clearly where appropriate?
  • Does the vacancy have a genuine, current deadline and a process for marking it filled?
  • Have you avoided collecting excess personal data or promising outcomes you cannot guarantee?

If any answer is unclear, update the information before submitting. You can also contact KOSMORIO with a general publishing question. Never send candidate passwords or sensitive identity documents through a public enquiry form.
